Best time to climb the mountain?

Although its technically possible to climb the mountain all year round, there are certain months which are characterised by colder weather, more rain and potentially lots of snow on the summit.
The dry season is widely regarded as the best time to trek Mount Kilimanjaro. This period, from late May to October offers the most stable weather conditions, making it ideal for a successful and enjoyable trek
June to August:
Advantages: These months are characterized by clear skies, lower humidity, and cooler temperatures, especially at night. The trail conditions are generally dry and more manageable, providing excellent trekking conditions.
Considerations: This period can be quite busy as it coincides with the summer holidays in Europe and North America. If you prefer less crowded trails, aim to trek either earlier in June or later in August.
September to October:
Advantages: Early autumn continues to offer favorable weather, with clear skies and dry conditions. September, in particular, is known for its stunning views and moderate temperatures, making it one of the best months for trekking.
Considerations: The trails remain busy, so booking your trek well in advance is recommended.
